Campaign Overview

As part of the American Marketing Association (AMA) Agency Program, I collaborated with Building Blocks for Kids, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children’s development through educational programs.

My primary contribution was designing and creating a sponsorship guide to help the organization secure corporate and individual sponsors for events and initiatives. The guide needed to be professional, visually appealing, and easy to navigate, aligning with the nonprofit’s mission and branding.

The Challenge

Building Blocks for Kids faced challenges in fundraising:

  • Sponsors needed a clear understanding of available opportunities, benefits, and impact.
  • Existing materials were outdated or inconsistent, lacking a polished, professional look.
  • The guide needed to balance informative content with appealing visuals to attract potential donors.

Strategy & Execution

To address these challenges, I designed a comprehensive sponsorship guide that included:

  • Brand-Aligned Design: Used Building Blocks for Kids’ color palette, typography, and imagery to create a cohesive look consistent with the nonprofit’s identity.
  • Clear Organization: Structured content to highlight sponsorship levels, benefits, and impact in a visually digestible format.
  • Compelling Copy: Wrote concise, persuasive content that clearly explained how sponsors’ contributions would support programs and children’s outcomes.
  • Professional Layout: Balanced graphics and text for readability, creating a guide that could be shared digitally or in print.

Impact & Results

  • Delivered a professional sponsorship guide that the nonprofit could use immediately for outreach to current and potential sponsors.
  • Provided a tool that clearly communicated sponsorship opportunities and organizational impact.
  • Received positive feedback from both the AMA program mentors and Building Blocks for Kids, highlighting the clarity, design, and usability of the guide.

Reflection & Takeaways

Effective fundraising materials require a balance of persuasive copy, design, and clarity.

Understanding the audience (potential sponsors) is critical to creating impactful marketing assets.
