Campaign Overview
The July Fest is St. Thomas More’s annual summer community festival, bringing families and neighbors together for food, music, and fellowship. As Marketing Chair, I was responsible for promoting the event across digital and print channels to maximize awareness and attendance.
My role included creating original social media graphics, writing copy, scheduling posts, and designing the print ad featured in the Eastgate Town Money Saver. The campaign aimed to engage the parish community, attract neighbors, and increase overall participation.
The Challenge
Key challenges included:
- Limited budget and time to promote the festival.
- Engaging both current parishioners and the broader community.
- Coordinating a campaign that worked across both social media platforms and local print media.
- Maintaining the parish’s brand identity while creating a fun, family-friendly vibe for the event.

Strategy & Execution
To overcome these challenges, I implemented a multi-channel marketing approach:
- Social Media Campaign:
- Developed a series of posts for Facebook and Instagram in the weeks leading up to the festival.
- Created graphics showcasing key attractions — food, music, games, and community fellowship.
- Scheduled posts strategically for maximum reach and engagement.
- Print Advertising:
- Designed a visually engaging ad for the Eastgate Town Money Saver.
- Focused on clear messaging, a bright and approachable design, and a strong call-to-action (“Join us for food, fun, and fellowship!”).
- Brand Consistency:
- Maintained parish colors, logo placement, and tone across all digital and print materials.
Impact & Results
- Increased social media engagement with shares, likes, and comments from both parishioners and local community members.
- Print ad extended outreach to households in the Eastgate area, attracting attendees who may not have been aware of the event digitally.
- Strong festival attendance, with feedback noting the marketing materials helped people plan to attend.
- Positive feedback from the parish committee praised the effectiveness of both the social media and print campaigns.
